There is no measure of the Red Bull team this season and of Max Verstappen in particular. The Dutchman has won five of seven races and the last three Grand Prix' in a row. Max hopes to win a Grand Prix for the fourth time in a row in Canada. What do the bookies think about his chances?
Last year, Verstappen also won the Canadian Grand Prix, although it was very close. He was fastest in the first free practice, second free practice, Q1, Q2 and Q3, allowing him to start on pole position. Verstappen was even almost seven tenths faster than Fernando Alonso, who was second to start the race. That one went pretty weird, with the quick retirement of his teammate Sergio Pérez and a super exciting battle with the Ferrari of Carlos Sainz. Verstappen managed to hold off the Spaniard for 16 laps after a safety car, each time by a margin within a second. Not much is expected of the Ferrari's this year, as you can see in the chart below. What can Verstappen show this year?
Name of driver | Quoting for the overall win |
Max Verstappen | 1.35 |
Sergio Pérez | 6.00 |
Fernando Alonso | 15.00 |
Lewis Hamilton | 15.00 |
George Russell | 15.00 |
Charles Leclerc | 34.00 |
Carlos Sainz | 41.00 |
